Forest Floor No 1 (click image for info)

“Forest Floor No. 1″ is a hand printed Art Quilt. Finished size: 26.5″ x 41.5”. Inspired by the magnificent forests of Northern Ontario, Canada. The fabrics were painted with Colour Vie pigments to represent the shifting lights and shadows in the Autumn. I screen printed the leaves, over painted, then screen printed the enlarged pine needle with gold pigment as well as smaller pine needles. Pieced and machine quilted. A sleeve for hanging on the back.

First exhibited with Connections Fibre Artists at Wellington County Museum, Ontario, Canada.
