Description of Drops of Water (click image for info)
“Drops of Water” was inspired by a poem by Buddhist monk Patrul Rinpoche
Do not take lightly small good deeds,
Believing they can hardly help,
For drops of water one by one,
In time will fill a giant pot.
The black background fabrics have been discharged with bleach. The blue rectangles are photo transfers from pictures I took from inside my tent after a rainy night while camping on an island in Georgian Bay in Lake Huron. Pieced, hand stitched with glass beads attached. Mounted on stretcher bars.
Finished size: 14″ x 17″
In Private Collection.
