Watching the Tide Roll Away

‘Watching the Tide Roll Away’ is a 12″ x 12″ Art Quilt. Exhibited at “Future Endeavors”, Homer Watson Gallery, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

Inspired by Otis Redding’s “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay”.
Waiting for things to change for the better. Waiting out the pandemic. Hoping while being with nature, with the ebb and flow of the ocean. Hoping – Waiting – Watching.

I created all the fabrics by: Painting with Colour Vie pigments using the edge of a seashell, indigo dyeing, cyanotype printing a feather. Pieced, fused and machine quilted. 100% cotton.
