Greenleaves

‘Greenleaves’ is a hand printed Art Quilt. In this quilt I am expressing the joy in living – ever changing and transient.

Screen printed with a large leaf onto cotton fabric. Then over-painted with Colour Vie fabric pigments. The small black rectangles are printed with metallic pigment using real leaves, and then fused and stitched onto the fabric. Then machine quilted and mounted on a black canvas stretcher. Finished size: 18″ x 18″ x 1.5″ thick.

‘Greenleaves’ was first exhibited in “18 Square” with Connections Fibre Artists, and has been exhibited in “Fibre Content” juried travelling exhibition as well as at Propeller Art Gallery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
