Manitoulin Rocks and Forest

‘Manitoulin Rocks and Forest’ is a hand printed art quilt. Finished size: 18″ x 18″.

In this quilt I am expressing my experience with the magic of Manitoulin Island, where I’ve explored the shores of Lake Huron, camera in hand, enjoying the quiet, the solitude, the ancient history since glaciers made their imprint on the rocks.

This quilt has been exhibited in “Fibre Content” juried exhibition.

Digital photo enlargement of the cracked rocks printed on cotton. Painted with Colour Vie pigments. The small black rectangle is printed with a real leaf. Machine quilted.
