Whirlwind No. 11

‘Whirlwind No. 11’ is a hand printed Art Quilt. Finished size: 47″ x 47″.

The inspiration for my work comes from my experience with nature and its forces. I created the visual surface texture in this quilt by painting and manipulating Colour Vie fabric pigments on the cloth with everyday items from the home. The tools I used to create the whirlwind feeling of the quilt were: a potato masher, a pastry mixer and a spool of thread. Beautifully long-arm quilted by Tracey Lawko.
